The school, a modernised Edwardian house, is located in a beautiful area of Cambridge. It is close to the river, and only 20 minutes' walk or a short cycle ride from the city centre. The school is also our specialised examination centre, and offers preparation courses for the full range of Cambridge examinations. When full, the Cambridge centre has a capacity of 170 students. Students enjoy attractive surroundings: well-equipped classrooms in an airy building surrounded by terraced gardens. Facilities for self-study include our multimedia learning centre with internet access, a video laboratory, and library. All Embassy CES schools have wireless internet access: why not bring your laptop with you? In their free time, students can meet and chat in the café/clubroom, or in the garden. Cambridge is a town of cyclists, and bike hire is available at the school.

There is a lively programme of excursions and activities at Embassy CES Cambridge. In the summer months there is an even bigger choice. Regular trips take students to see the best-known attractions in the country, from Stonehenge to Alton Towers. If you enjoy sport, there are many opportunities to join in football, tennis and volleyball games. Your activities organiser will also help you book independent trips. Cambridge has more than twenty museums. These include the magnificent Fitzwilliam Museum of Art Antiquities, Kettle's Yard, a home to visual arts and music. The botanical gardens are a very pleasant place for a walk and for discovering plants from all around the world. There is a large choice of theatres and cinemas and a new ten-pin bowling facility in the city.
